Executive Director

New to LDANS, Marilyn began working in this position in April of 2011. Marilyn has  a broad range of skill sets. Originally beginning her career as an educator Marilyn worked as a junior high school teacher in Peace River Alberta. Her career experience changed to include program management for non-profit organizations, marketing and multi stakeholder engagement projects.

Marilyn has recently returned to the Halifax area after spending 12 years in Sydney working at Cape Breton University. She looks forward to establishing strong partnerships within the learning disability community to make a difference in the lives of those dealing with the impacts of learning disabilities.


Program Coordinator

Erin Woodbury joined the Learning Disabilities Association in March of 2008 when she assumed the position as Literacy Program Coordinator for LINKS. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, including clinical assessments, training and supervision of literacy teachers, and promotion of early identification for at-risk readers through community outreach projects.

Erin graduated from Mount Saint Vincent’s in 2004 with a bachelor of applied arts in Child & Youth Studies, and continued her studies at Dalhousie University, where she obtained her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2007.


Administrative Support

Traci joined the Learning Disabilities Association in March 2011. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the office and is often the first person families or professionals will communicate with when seeking support. Traci, originally from Ottawa, moved to Nova Scotia to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree at Dalhousie University.
